Members of the Tbilisi City Council Visit the Eliava Institute and Phage Therapy Center
On February 26, 2026, Beqa Mikautadze, Chair of the Commission on Healthcare and Social Issues of the Tbilisi City Council, along with other members of the Commission visited the G. Eliava Institute of Bacteriophages, Microbiology and Virology and the Eliava Phage Therapy Center.
The commission members were hosted by the Acting Director of the Institute, Mzia Kutateladze, the Director of the Eliava Phage Therapy Center, Davit Sturua, and the Chief Medical doctor, Dea Nijaradze.
The guests visited the scientific and educational laboratories of the Eliava Institute, its conference hall, museum and library, as well as the Phage Therapy Center. They emphasized the special importance of the Eliava Institute and its affiliated institutions for our country.
